A big hello to everybody. At the moment we are in Rome and I am having problems with the language on this computer. The keyboard is significantly different which is really frustrating. Bloody Italians!!! So forgive me if there are mistakes or this makes no sense what so ever.
We flew to Beijing via Singapore (2 seperate flights) with Singapore airlines. The plane was delayed in Melbourne because of the fog. This was a major problem for us because we had a connecting flight in Singapore. We were a total of 3 minutes on the ground in Singapore. We ran for our lives about 500 metres to the next gate. The second plane was delayed because of our lugguage. Richard was one grumpy boy.
Singapore Airlines is the best yet out of the rotten bunch.
Beijing airport to the centre of Beijing is much the same distance as Melbourne to Weribee. Richard had organised a transfer from the airport to our hotel before leaving Melbourne. Our driver must have been mute because we did not hear boo from him during the whole trip.
The most pleasant thing about the whole day was when we got to our hotel - Harmony Hotel in Beijing. We got our accommodation upgraded on the first night because the room we booked was already taken.
